OEHHA Delays CIC Hearing on Acetaminophen
The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) announced today that in light of the developments related to Covid19, they do not intent to reschedule the Carcinogen Identification Committee (CIC) at this time to review the possibility of adding acetaminophen to the Proposition 65 list of carcinogens. As you will recall, the meeting was originally scheduled for December 5, 2019 but was postponed to allow for an extended public-comment period that has since closed. OEHHA planned to announce a new meeting date for spring 2020; however, given the escalating concern over the COVID-19 public health emergency, OEHHA has decided not to reschedule the meeting until after the emergency has passed.
